Samsung i8510 in UK at Carphone Warehouse

We’ve learned that when the Samsung Innov8 i8510 launches later this year in the United Kingdom it will be lacking the cool and confusing Innov8 moniker and will be exclusively sold at Carphone Warehouse.

We’re expecting the device to cost 700+ Euros unsubsidized but when it comes down to it, that’s a pretty good price for a device so sophisticated. The launch date is still TBD but we’re guessing September is the month that the Samsung i8510 will grace the UK with its presence. And hopefully your hands will return the favor.

Stay tuned as we’ll inform you of any details to come out of Samsung and/or Carphone Warehouse in the coming days/weeks/months… lets hope the former.

So they spelled INNOV8 with 1 “N”… it is now INOVATE. Maybe they meant to do it. Maybe they were being inovative with the word innovate - ever think of that? Huh?

Regardless, they echoed a sentiment felt round the world that I had to share, “How often do you use your phone’s built-in camera? More often than not, the cameras are so terrible it’s not even worth the time it takes to remove it from your pocket.”

I couldn’t agree more. Camera phones usually have sucky picture quality (and no zoom). And, any self respecting dude doesn’t take his digital camera around to regular places that aren’t scenic vacation spots. But, the Innov8 really changes the game up.

+1 for realness and we’ll say the misspelling is just +1 for style points

GSM Arena Overviews the Samsung Innov8

The folks at GSM Arena took a few minutes to overview the Samsung Innov8 and although they didn’t drop any groundbreaking info, they did a very nice job in summarizing the phone and its strengths.

They did happen to include some “lifestyle” pics of the Innov8 that we hadn’t seen elsewhere… so we’ve posted them below - thanks!

These pictures look very “real” and do you know why? Because just like real life… the hottest women are with the dorkiest men!

MobileBurn’s Innov8 Preview

Boy Genius says INNOV8 is Amazing

Tech Wonder Boy - The Boy Genius - has weighed in on the Samsung INNOV8 and called the specs of the phone “amazing”. He also digs Nokia while giving ultimate props to Samsung in claiming of the INNOV8, ” the hottest most well-specced S60 handset in the world was made by Samsung as opposed to Nokia”.

BGR’s only complaint is that there is no WCDMA 850 support meaning it would have 3G compatability issues. But, BGR didn’t mention that the HTC Touch Diamond had the same issue but was later unlocked by HTC themselves.

Could Samsung do the same for the INNOV8? Let’s hope so… because if the Boy Genius is right… and he usually is… the INNOV8 could be the best phone of the year ever.

IntoMobile: INNOV8 is Best Camera Phone Ever

One of the most popular tech blogs in the world - IntoMobile - announced the launch of the Samsung INNOV8 with a bold claim: “In a nutshell, the INNOV8 is the best camera smartphone announced to date. Symbian OS gives it more power than C905 could possibly have.”

The C905 is of course Sony Ericsson’s 8.1 megapixel phone. Regardless if its pixels are just as mega or not… its pretty clear that the experts are already crowning the INNOV8 as champion.
